To Win the Race You Have to Start
Waiting for the perfect time will not get you to the finish line.
The key to making it to the finish line is starting the race, no matter the conditions.
Have you started something today?
Today is the start of another race for the success of your business. As you start your day there is something new you need to start today. Have you started it? If you have not do it now. By doing it first thing in the morning you start the race. You set yourself up for success. You give yourself a chance to do something before everything is perfect. You start running. You may need more training, you might need more hydration, or nutrition, but you have started. You give yourself a chance. So go out and start something today.
Do you know what you need to start today?
As you look at your business what needs to be started today? Do you need to work on your social media presents? Do you need to hire someone? Do you need to invest in a system upgrade? There is always something to start when it comes to your small business. Do you have a sales funnel? How can you built one today? Do you know your sales cycle time? As you start a new day in your small business fine one thing that you can do to work on your small business. It does not have to be a big thing, but make sure you start at least one thing today. By starting it today, you give yourself a chance to finish and to continue to improve.
Eat the Frog.
Not the best analogy, but if you have to eat a frog, just do it at the beginning of the day. It is not going to get easier if you wait until the end of the day, it will still be a frog, so just eat it. Maybe you really dislike cold calling, but you have to call a new customer. Just do it. Calling them at the end of the day will not be any easier and they are more likely to be tired and not as open to a call. So pick one thing this morning that is your frog and go eat it.
Not the longest post but remember:
What have you started today?
What can you start today?
What frog do you need to eat today?
Thanks for your time reading this post. I hope you found something useful or inspiring. If you did please share it with one or twelve friends. :-)
